Sabres Scenario

Description
Before you jump down my throat, just read.

With Vegas and LAK both pushing to get Eichel; Anaheim finally capitulates by giving Buffalo Zegras and 3OA, with Henrique to help balance the cap.

Philly has been interested in Risto for quite some time and with a Tarasenko trade in the works offers Buffalo their ask of a Young Dman & a high pick for a 50% retained Risto and taking on Ghost Bear's contract. According to multiple Flyers fans, Fletcher has a tendency of overpaying.

Lastly the Sabres find a way to convince Savard to come to Buffalo and help solidify the D corps.

You are out of your mind if you think the Sabres are getting York for Risto.

I'm not sure Philadelphia has as much need for Risto now that they added Ellis

Bishop is in Dallas or Seattle next season. The Stars aren't trading him. The whole reason Bishop approached Dallas about waiving his NMC for the expansion draft was that with his injury history, he looked less lucrative to Seattle than Khudobin. If Seattle calls his bluff & picks him then good for them, but if not then he's not leaving Dallas.

I still think Sam has been undervalued on these posts. He was a 92 percentile war skater last season, shown that he can play center.

I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that Sam has a Couturier bump in his production into his late 20s and is a top line two way center.
