If Pittsburgh really wanted to dump Zucker and LA wanted him for some reason, the Kings could just get him directly from PIttsburgh without having to give up Kempe.

Gee, I'm glad you're not the Leafs GM. Ignoring all those NTC and NMCs. Rangers are buying out DAD, and a real cheap buyout cost. I'd keep the picks and spend 10m on UFAs (if the cap was available) instead of Makar.

I like too see some changes as well but this is simply a total different team which has nothing do with the Leafs. Would be fun to watch except for Deagelo. He kill of everything with his behavior. The Leafs have such a good dealing and mentality, don't want him in Toronto.

And I disagree with DeSmith over Campbell. Boy what had Soup for a year. And such a lovely personality.

Jason Zucker turns 30 at mid-season, is more expensive than his cap hit, is signed for only 2 years (incl this one), and has been declining over the past couple of seasons. Kempe is 25, has been improving every season, and is under team control for at least 3 years. I don't think moving up half a round in the draft is adequate incentive for us to compensate for those differences and make this deal.
