Hawks aren't giving up Hartman or Forsling for rentals.

The MTL and EDM deals are workable but the others aren't.

Chicago can't afford to keep trading away youth for rentals. Not to mention youth that is already producing for them in Hartman.

Why is a team like Colorado or frankly any team for that matter taking on Michalek? He's playing in the AHL and he makes 3.2M still.

Smith has a NMC I believe so he'd have to choose to play there. I'm not sure about that one. He's pretty comfy in Arizona I would think and would probably only waive to go to a contender. Also adding Smid has very little effect in this trade. He's on LTIR so no cap and his actual salary is covered by insurance for up to 85%. The Flames are paying him peanuts out of there pocket and its only for the rest of this year.

not a good trade for CHI. They already said the youth is untouchable and they aren't giving up their 1st rounder when the draft is in Chicago this year.
