That kaprizov $ amount would be on like a 2 maybe 3 year deal
At this point, i just want to sign him to a 2+ year deal, get another good season from him for a proof and then trade. The problem is, if he is traded to a contender where he wants to play (ofc he is Kaprizov and he must go ahead and win now and Ovi and McD examples do not matter cause he spent too much time in KHL and wants his money back) , his salary has to be in the range so that the contender is able to afford him without retention. Otherwise, that contract does not make sense.
I mean, at this point i really do not tie MN future with him and want him to get traded cause MIN does not need him if he is not commited to the team long term. Him making the team is only justified to me by the idea that he has another good year and fetches a great return. Then we trade him. I wish he is traded to COL or DET so that his agent has to negotiate with Sakic or Yzerman (that d be fun).
There are many MN born NHLers who would like to play on this team, thus we would replace him without drop in quality. And for the reasons above, he is not getting more than Pastrnak in any of my acgms.
P.S. forgot to mention that Pastrnak is also better than Kaprizov by a mile. That being said, no chance he is gonna get more bucks from Aero agm
