You can’t be serious? That’s the worst Lindholm trade I’ve ever seen.

Silfverberg has a MTC, he's not waiving it for the Sabres. Add in Comtois and swap out Fleury

2021 1st round pick
Drysdale, Jamie
Heinen, Danton
Comtois, Max

Sabres pull Weissbach off the deal too

Jets decline

Bahahaha, they'd be absolute morons to decline, that's a huge win for the Jets and a terrible deal for the Ducks.

I’m not sure it’s such a bad trade for either side. Ignore the Little part of the trade, no clue why that is in there. He’s not going anywhere.

Copp plus draft picks for Lindholm. If it’s 2013-2018 Lindholm, no way the Ducks do this. He’s a top 2/3 D with size and skill, and at that time... youth.

The last two years, he’s struggled a bit. The team has as well, so I think that has something to do with it, plus some injuries. Is his value depressed from where it was 2+ years ago, likely a bit.

Copp, solid middle 6 forward, plays C and wing, PK and can play on PP2.

Jets would be banking in a return to a top pair D (left shot), whereas Ducks would be getting a veteran middle six versatile F with leadership qualities.

Even though there is more risk around IF Lindholm will get back to top pair D, he’s still only 28 next season, and on a good contract. I think the Jets would need to add assets to get this deal done. Not sure if it’s a bottom six prospect or a pick, but I can’t see ANA doing this deal straight up.

That said, it’s not ridiculous, there is some merit given the Ducks youth movement and need for solid veterans to help out over the next 3-5 years. But I’m of the view that it’s Copp plus to get Lindholm.

Drysdale & 3OA is a good start for Eichel
Would those other pieces be enough to outbid other interested teams though?
We’ll likely see soon

Goooood luck with that. Drysdale, and Zegras for that matter, aren't available, so it really wouldn't matter.

Ducks pull Drysdale out of the deal, and all of the sudden we're back to the same old recycled Eichel trade that still makes no sense to the Ducks.

Unlike what people seem to think, Copp is staying in Winnipeg, they will have all the cap space in the would to sign him. If they want to trade for a defenceman (which they should), they would trade PLD.

You are correct, I'm definitely not Bob Murray. However, given that he was the one who said "Zegras and Drysdale aren't available", I'd assume that he probably knows better than the rest of us, mainly since he's the GM, and that's the person that you're apparently looking for...

So yeah, good luck.

The trade proposed here is Lindholm and a 2nd not Copp plus picks also if Anaheim trades Lindholm it'll be for futures not a 27 year old at best 3rd liner, Copp is okay but he's gotten really overrated, just don't see what he does for the Ducks and why they'd trade one of their best assets for Copp, if you need some vets to help guide the kids through a rebuild you sign some vets in free agency not trade a prime asset for a veteran.

I'm thinking it'd take a 1st and Heinola to get Lindholm.

I think PLD was a massive disappointment but they're not trading him for a dman, he's the closest thing they have to a 2C right now.

Yeah they probably are going to sign Copp but if Anaheim was dumb enough to be willing to make this trade the only person dumber in hockey would be Chevy if he declined, the Ducks never make this deal though.

tears of joy If you're going to come on here and spout off about "nObOdY kNoWs!!!", you're probably missing the point of ACGM, friend.

And yeah, GMs absolutely say that stuff all the time. It's up to us to figure out if there's any logic to it.

So, here's the logic, and why I'm pretty confident that it's true:

1) Anaheim finished 2nd last this past season. They're rebuilding.
2) Jack Eichel, if healthy, moves them from 2nd last to about 6th last. He doesn't take this team and turn them into a contender. When the team inevitably misses the playoffs, and he pulls an Eichel, only this time he has a NMC, which puts the largest set of handcuffs imaginable on the Ducks.
3) Rebuilding teams typically don't trade their top prospects, especially when both project to be allstars.
4) The Sabres, in all of their bumbling, have managed to take their top asset and drive his value through the floor.
5) The reason Anaheim were included in these "rumors" was because they have cap space, picks, and prospects. Saying that the 2nd worst team in the NHL is going to trade their top young assets for Eichel is hilariously dumb when you actually think about it.

Anyway, I guess the point is, instead of screaming "YOU DON'T KNOW BECAUSE NONE OF US KNOW!", maybe sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. It's ACGM. If it hurts your soul to see your best player get tossed around the league like my late Aunt Judy (God rest her promiscuous soul), then you're probably in the wrong place.
