Id rather go for Martinez or Olesiak for 1-2 years than Pelech TBH. Let Valimaki develop for those few years and still have a decent top 4

Stecher would be a really good pickup so I really like that move, especially with how it would annoy Canucks fans

I don't love the idea of offersheeting Pelech, I think we could get him for cheaper if we just trade for him but I like him on the blue line too.

Ew no, Ghost is an anchor. I would rather grab a defensively reliable #4 for 1 year that can play with either Tanev or on the 3rd pair. Like McCabe

Stecher for free plus retained, missed something there

In this scenario Seattle selects him from Detroit and trades him to the Flames half off

I would say Pelletier doesn't belong in the top 6 yet. Just switch him and Mangiapane and I am good with it

Sure but Stecher is much better and is capable of filling in for Tanev in the top 4 if he gets injured (yes ik he finally stayed healthy last season)

Fair enough, I like Stecher but have to remember Seattle does need their own RD as well, I definitely see them selecting Stecher but but hard to say who else they will have unless they dib into the UFA market

Theres guys like Demelo Miller, Schultz, Jensen, Foote and Borgen as prospects, I think they're a Hamilton dark horse as well IMO

HArd to justify taking DeMelo over Appleton but I could see. Miller is solid but I could see interest in Girgensons being higher. No way you take Schultz over Vanecek, same with Jensen. Tampa will be paying Seattle to take a 5M contract and I doubt they use Foote as incentive. Borgen is pretty meh

I think with all the RW talent in this draft Appleton might not be taken

Maybe, we will see. Maybe they dip into the UFA pool for RD.
