Whats your issue with Reinhart? The trade or the money?

I also havent seen one single Larsson to Vancouver rumor, if he doesnt sign in Edmonton he's going to Seattle or somewhere on the east coast. I offered him a lower AAV here but gave him 5 years, which I doubt anyone else is going to do.

I don't love the Reinhart move or hate it for the Sabres. At least the pieces make sense (thank you for not including an LD!). The only thing holding it back iw lack of one top tier piece (Bouchard and Lavoie are nice pieces but not centerpieces).

Reasonable and the Sabres should take it if it's the best offer on the table but could get outbid by a deal centered around a better prospect or top 10 pick (e.g. Vancouver's 1st plus Kole of Seattle doesn't take him beats this).

Reinhart for Holloway and Bouchard would be acceptable to me, Lavoie from some things I've read might need more veteran leadership than the Sabres have and Koskinen has no appeal, no need for those draft picks.

good luck on trying to find someone to take that cap dump Kassian.
I know the EDM media tried hard to tell people he's available.
But then the sad reality that no one wants him on their team sunk in.

Seravalli isn't "Edmonton media", he lives in Philadelphia, PA.

I'd rather have cost-controlled Bouchard and Lavoie than Reinhart. You can get $6M wingers in free agency, you can't find elite young players on their ELC unless you draft them. Bouchard is ready to play now, Lavoie will be in the NHL by the following season.

Interesting take. Bouchard was a top-10 pick who played limited minutes last year due to Edmonton's right side depth and still put up world class numbers. Of all defensemen to play at least 150 minutes at 5v5 last year (244 players), Bouchard's 1.27 P/60 ranked 18th. He's an elite offensive creator, even as a rookie.

Oh, and don't try to pin this on McDavid. Bouchard barely played with him and actually scored more with Turris, Ennis and Chiasson.

Here's what I mean about offensive creation:

Shots/60
Evan Bouchard: 11.4
Rasmus Dahlin: 4.8

ixG/60
EB: 0.37
RD: 0.27

iCF/60
EB: 20.27
RD: 8.87

CF/60 Rel
EB: +10.96
RD: +3.67

SF/60 Rel
EB: +4.56
RD: +2.70

I'm not saying he's better than Dahlin, I'm just pointing out that he's an elite talent. He absolutely is enough to centerpiece a trade like this - enough so that I wouldn't do it. The Oilers are far better off having an elite offensive defenseman who costs <$900k and getting a Reinhart facsimile via free agency.

If you think Kole is a better prospect than Bouchard you’re absolutely off your rocker. If he were a good prospect he would have been protected for expansion.

Yes and reinhart for a seventh would be acceptable to me, but I live on planet earth and don’t say dumb things,

OK with the trade you offered you know Koskinen is a cap dump, right, I mean you aren't pretending he's an asset are you? and you know Lavoie has had some on ice and off ice questionable decision making, right ? I mean you are an Oiler fan - the only thing of decent value in your trade was Bouchard and while he's too young to be called a bust he hasn't lived up to expectations yet.

I don't have a problem with Kassian on the cap. He's paid like a 3rd liner and he's a very good 3rd liner when healthy. Not sure why you'd think that would bother me, but apparently you do.

Have a nice day.
