Be patient play it safe

Description
Tkachuk will go to free agency. I'm pretty certain of that and there's no need to trade our future away to get him. Wait it out, pick him up to play with Thomas and Kyrou when the time comes. If Dunn isn't taken, either keep him or trade him for simular value player close to his age. Soft rebuild time. Nobody should be upset with Army if he doesn't trade 6 pieces for eichel or Tkachuk and they should be upset if doesn't spend a fortune on Landeskog. We can still be competive and make a run for the cup without digging ourselves in any further. We've already got 3 big contracts that would be hard to move so we may just have to live with them. Let all the youngster play alot and see what they can do.

Sabres really don't need D. Value is definitely there. Pieces just don't make a ton of sense.

Hahahaahaha. It's alot to give up. But you're gaining two super stars in the prime of their youth. Could have them on the team still in a decade with possibly a couple cup victories. Who would you name the new captain? Eichel or Tkachuk 😂

Lol I gave them the defensive pieces because I wasn't sure and had a Calgary fan tell me they don't need defense, so I made the centers the heart of their deal and the better picks part of the eichel deal. Next year's draft is way more loaded. Wasn't sure the Krug or Faulk contract would carry the value of a younger Parayko contract. Sign and trade, however they like it.

Anything you'd swap out? Better ideas/more interesting stuff for Buffalo? I'm pretty firm on keeping the speed demon Kyrou around to play on their line lol.

That's a big no from Buffalo, just not anything that excites anyone. Parayko has 1 year left on his deal and is not resigning in buffalo. Dunn is ok. Kostin hasnt done anything yet. The 1st rounders are at the end of the rounds. I dont see anything high end here for Buffalo

Robert Thomas is the starting point on any Eichel deal, the Sabres probably then insist on the 2021 1st (rather than the 1st form a team with Eichel added). Kostin would make an ok B prospect to the deal. Parayko makes sense as Buffalo could flip him in a year if they can't sign him. That's probably the minimum. Depending on other deals you maybe add in another 1st (2023) or Blais or something.

Sabres would love Kyrou but I don't see that happening either.

I ran out of 1st on here lol are you allowed to trade past what you're able to on here?

Think if I switched Thomas and Kostin here and then added a Blais or Sanford here for Calgary both teams go for it? Lol obviously couldn't trade O'Reilly back to Buffalo for Eichel

Could try and do a sign an trade regarding Parayko. Also if I switched where Thomas and Kostin is and added a Sanford or Blais for Calgary, you think they go for it?

Thomas is certainly a start, but I think the problem is Buffalo is looking for multiple high end pieces, not just one.
