I’m not sure how I feel about sticking JEEK with Kaprizov and Zucc, as his style of play is defensively inclined, I think it’s definitely worth trying though. I’m really conflicted as to who EK will play with next season. He plays best with grinding 3rd/4th line players but his talents would be wasted if he’s not in the top 6. I think it would be smart to trade for Chytil if we can’t land someone like Dvorak, He’s 21 and still has plenty of time to develop and reach his full potential and I think sticking him with guys like Fiala and Boldy would help a ton. He put up 22 points in 42 games playing on NYR 3rd line and I can only see that number growing as he moves up the lineup and starts to play with better players.

You gotta think Rossi gets into this lineup at some point next season.

Sturm definitely deserves to be promoted in the lineup, he is far more than a 4th line talent. Even if he gets promoted to play as winger instead of center, he’s proved he deserves to play higher up in the lineup.

Losing Kaapo is going to suck and it’s almost inevitable at this point but if we can get someone like Ullmark to back up Cam, then I won’t feel so bad about it. Ullmark needs to figure out how to stay healthy though.

Note: I’m not averse to trading for both Dvorak and Chytil in attempt to bolster the center position. Dvorak will likely cost picks and prospects and Chytil will cost something like Greenway. Not sure if doubling down makes sense due to Rossi likely arriving at some point during the season but it would totally turn our center play around.
