What? This is a steal for WPG. Stanley is terrible and Copp is good but Rust is much better.

They don’t need anymore forwards

Give me one good reason why this is good for the jets. You can’t, because it’s not. Easy no for Winnipeg.

Right now I just see Connor, Ehlers, and Wheeler as their top 6 wingers. Adding Rust to that would be nasty.

Mark Scheifele, Pierre-Luc-Dubois, Adam Lowry, Copp is already good and some good prospects who will likely get playing time next season

All the Jets have for defence is Morrissey Stanley and DeMelo (DeMelo might get taken by Seattle but I think they’ll find a way to keep him) and Heinola

Pens decline because why trade Rust. And winnipeg declines because they dont need him.

Definite no from Winnipeg. The Jets aren't going to trade young players they need for old rentals they don't need.

lmao the only young player is Stanley. Rust is 29, and Copp is 27. Also rust is better than both players. Im sure the jets desperately need Stanleys 4 point production for next year over what rust can do. Why would pittsburgh even consider that trade?

Of course Pittsburg does the trade. They are getting the two best players, two youngest players and two players with most team control. It's an easy no for Winnipeg.

Two best in that Copp is better than Rust and Stanley is better than than DeSmith, without taking contact situations into account.

Pittsburgh gets the 2 best players, even though neither of them have had a season like Rust has had in is career? Makes absolutely zero sense.

Wait Copp is better than Rust? lmao please explain how? And there is absolutely zero way to compare a goalie to a forward. So that isn't even a debate, even though Desmith has very very similar career numbers to Hellebuych
