Doesn't work for the Sabres. Need controllable assets, not guys that need new deals.

I think the Eichel deal will probably look something close to that.

They could also use someone to put the puck in the net.
Chytil has no arbitration. Buchnevich atleast they set the term. Schneider is a top D prospect with size and nasty.

And who is that? Buch? The guy who's career high is 21 goals? He's not a good enough piece for an Eichel trade to be centered around. Chytil hasn't done much, although he could be a good 2C. Schneider is a good prospect but nothing outstanding. 15 overall in this draft doesn't go very far. Just an underwhelming package...it's incredible how people think Eichel's value has fallen that much.

Buchnevich, the same guy who is 26 and can play even strength on a top line, play PP, kill penalties? He doesn't have enough value for you? Chytil? A guy that averaged over a half a point per last year with no PP ice time and extremely limited even strength time? Schneider isn't anything special? You sure about that one, scout? The guy just took home the Hunter Trophy for best d-man in the NHL and skated with Canada at the World's. You are out of your mind man, and no offense, but the comments you just made in assessing these guys show me you aren't as familiar with these guys as you try to show.

This trade is bigger than some are able to comprehend.
If Eichel is so incredibly talented AND wanted he would not have remained on the block for 18 months.
Teams cannot just shell out 4, 5, or even 6 pieces equivalent to 1st round picks for an injured player with attitue/maturity concerns. Also happens to carry a 10 mil per cap hit for 5 years.

Most Sabre fans expect the return for a player tier Eichel has never attained. You want to trade for the superstar you still see developing 5 years after being drafted.
It's just simply not the case.
Too big for some to comprehend.

Lol relax, "scout". Forgot you were the end all be all for scouting and analysis on the capfriendly message boards. Buch is a good player, but the comment was in reference to his ability to put the puck in the net. It's not my belief that a trade for a 24 year old point per game #1 center should be centered around a 26 year old winger who needs a huge raise (Evolving Hockey has his next deal at 5x6.3) and has had one really good statistical season. His overall game is very strong, but when trading away a center of Eichel's quality, you ideally want to net a young player who can eventually fill those shoes. I do not think Chytil will be more than a 2C- he had decent underlying numbers this year and was, as you said, a half a point per game player, so there's potential there, but not as a cornerstone type of talent. As far as gloating about Schneider winning the Hunter Memorial Trophy (for best d man in junior hockey, not the NHL as you stated), here's a brief list of guys who have won it:

Kale Clague
Brendon Kichton
Alex Petrovic
Stefan Elliot
Jonathan Blum

So while there are guys who win it and turn out to be good players (Provorov, Theodore,Barrie), it's far from a sure thing and isn't something I would use a benchmark to determine future success. He's a B/B+ prospect who's likely to be a #4 or 5 on a good team...nothing wrong with that, but again, not a piece I would hang my hat on when discussing a trade for a 24 year old point per game #1 center. These pieces as a whole are nice, but they should include more quality (Kakko) and less quantity.

So as far as being "out of my mind", no, I am not out of my mind, I just have a different opinion than you do, one that isn't clouded by the judgement of being a Rangers fan.

Lol yes, it is too big for my pea sized brain, I shouldn't even attempt to comprehend something so mind bogglingly complex
