No you dont. There are 31 other teams. And he is under contract for 5 more years. He has no leverage, if you cant get a good return. He laces them back up for the Sabres. If the packages the Rangers have discussed with Buffalo are anything like what fans think. The rangers have no shot Eichel. Embarrassingly bad.

This isnt much. And no, I am not going go and pull up trades, do it yourself. He isnt going to NY.

A) Buffalo is in NY.
B) I certainly hope he doesn't become a Ranger, regardless of cost.

Except for when the player has a 10 million dollar cap hit during a flat cap, a public dispute with his team over an injury that may be career threatening, an NMC and signing bonus that kick in in a year, and all but 1 other team is out because they don’t want to trade their top assets or can’t take on his cap hit.

See if you start looking for excuses on why Eichel isnt worth it. You're not getting Eichel.
