Imagine using only corsi and Fenwick to evaluate a player. Beauvillier's underlying metrics are miles better than Drouin over the last 2 years. He is ahead of Drouin and armia in the 2 most important metrics , GF/60 (increasing the rate your team scores goals) and xGA (preventing quality shots against).

Beauvillier is a high end top 6 winger and he was actually and dating back to the regular season he has 35 points in his last 44 games (65 pt pace). In an 82 game season he would have had 26 goals, 49 points. Middle 6 winger lol

You just described every habs fan trying to over hype Drouin's Value .

Given Beau's stats actually are damn near identical to Armia's head to head
While Drouin head to head Drouins out paced him
Corsi and Fenwick % are a mile apart in favor of Drouin.

Where Beauviller(24%) stands out over Armia(18%) and Drouin(18%) is his Goal Scoring only
Beauvillier unlike them also has no injury issues playing as many games as possible each season(big upside if they're young and health Goal scorer's for sure)

But we're not talking 1st line guy here unless you're running a system with no true #1 line like MTL does

All im saying is Beavuillier isnt some elite 1st line Wing player.
He's a middle 6 guy with the potential to mature into that role on a team with no true #1 winger prospect for that role.

He's good but he's smaller , less experienced and 22 career Power Play Points (drouin had 34 by age 21 (2 years younger)
We're not talking about a 50+ point player in Beauvillier
Similar to a Andrew Shaw he might get close enough to touch it once but thats it

https://stathead.com/hockey/pcomp_finder.cgi?player_id2=drouijo01&player_id1=beauvan01&sum=0&request=1

https://stathead.com/hockey/pcomp_finder.cgi?player_id2=armiajo01&player_id1=beauvan01&sum=0&request=1

Youre kidding me. A middle 6 guy?

1. He was on pace for 50 points this year
2. He is above average in every category, is an elite skater, and is really smart. Hes also very young.
3. Its not really fair to compare points when a guy is playing for trotz. I mean barzy averages 60-65 points a season when hes a ppg player with any other coach (besides torts). Point being beauvillier is a 60 point player on a team where hes allowed to take a few chances and that focuses a little on offense.

Lee scores goals at a rate of 35%
Beauvillier scores goals at a rate of 24%

i decided to look at Advance metric head to head
Its not even close

If you just do the head to head on Corsi, Fenwick and Point share %
He's beating Beauvillier by a country mile in all advanced metrics.

The only thing Beau has Lee doesnt is youth

Great player but you'd be nuts to make the claims you did about him as factually they're wrong , i looked them up
Numbers dont lie

lol you're really using corsi and point share% - that doesn't mean anything. Beauvillier brings more value to the isles as he has a higher WAR (wins above replacement) and SPAR (standing points above replacement). Beauvillier brings more value to his team, you're using the worst advanced metrics to try to prove a point.

thats your view

Thats not what Ice time , Production or any of his advanced Metrics said

Its like me basing Drouins value on what he could have done
Not what he has done

You're fans in part are doing that while quoting stats they dont fathom lol

The same guy who uses points to evaluate players. You see he was gonna use +/- but beaus is probably pretty good so that didnt work lol.

Gallagher is valuable for MTL and a more prolific goal scorer

Is he a top line guy?
Nope

Is he an All Star ?
Nope

Does he posses any Awards from the NHL?
Nope

Would we every trade him ?
Nope

Its doesnt make him Elite because he can put up Goals and points in Clutch moments.
It makes him a REALLY Important middle 6 forward for every coach he's every had here

We atleast know how to draw the line between what is accomplished
and the fiction some fans predict about Ho-Sang , Dal Colle , Bellows ,ext

Just saying life's better in Context to Reality anchored in Fact

Now slander because you got called out after boasting about those metrics
i just shut you down on your fiction

Now you'll slander again and try to argue opinion because you cant find facts to prove your boast true.

I didnt make these assertions , you did
I just fact checked your BS

Fact checking for the uninformed
Is verifying what one says is true by confirming it with a trusted source.

Try it sometime

actually you'r wrong. It's funny that you tried to use advanced metrics but didn't know that Gallagher is an above average 1st line winger. If you knew how to use advanced metrics you would know that Gallagher is one of the leagues best play drivers.

no i didnt
i took your lie
Fact checked it
Gave a source for you to look at
but quoted a few things from it

What you expect me to not only Fact check for you
Spoon feed you a source but also read the frigging thing to and dumb it down?

What are you doing in this scenario beside making stuff up then pretending you didnt over step ?

“Is he a top line guy ,no” Actually gallagher has had a top line impact for most of his career. I guess you don’t understand analytics or your own players!
