Montreal chooses violence Petey OS match

Created by: Juiceman
Team: 2021-22 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 20, 2021
Published: Jul. 20, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is for all poor people who think they Canucks can’t match a Pettersson offer sheet

In this ACGM, I am pretending Montreal offers an offer sheet with the compensation beings 2 firsts, a second and a third, but we match. Hughes also decides not to take a team friendly deal and gets paid Heiskanen money. This is proving people that we can move out money and make room for Pettersson and Hughes

Kole Lind isn't a reason to pick Holtby. Is Hughes really worth 8.5? Really?

Two issues with that Pettersson contract: 1. Montreal wouldn’t be able to offer 8 years. 2. That contract you have there would b e four first rounders.

No, but some people think he’s good. Can’t understand it.

Read description. Montreal wants to offer the max amount of money that they only have to give up two first rounders, a second and a third round pick. Hughes is not worth that much but as it says in the description, he decides he doesn’t wanna take a team friendly deal.

My numbers are probably a bit off but there have been talks about Montreal wanting to only give up 2 firsts, 1 second, and 1 third round pick. They aren’t willing to lose 4 first round picks but they will do the next closest thing

10x8 for pettersson isn't horrible at all really, the only time it would hurt is this year

He's got exceptional skill, but needs alot of improvement defensively..... Being a -24 even on a bad team, isn't very good, he's the next Karlsson in my opinion, trash defenseman but people love him cause he puts up numbers

Apparently they want to pick him to flip him to some other poor team… He would be perfect for a team like Detroit or Buffalo who are trying to tank

I would never put those guys in the same sentence. Hughes is a powerplay specialist that is absolutely trash at even strength.

My numbers may be a bit off but it’s in the ball park for what they want to offer. This scenario happens if Price gets selected in the expansion draft.

Okay. Way off by the way. The way it’s done is if the contract is longer than five years, the AAV is calculated by taking the total sum of the contract, and dividing by five. So if that’s the AAV montreal is offering over 7 years (max they are allowed to offer), that comes in at a 14.387 AAV for purposes of the compensation. Four firsts.

I’ve watched him a ton…which is why i bet against vancouver. He’s a third pair powerplay specialist that’s been thrust into a top pair role, which is one of the main reasons why vancouver stinks.

I didn’t take into account the term because I’m not the one offer sheeting him. My point is the cap is supposed to be the max offer that doesn’t require a compensation of four first rounders.

Are you trying to say Karlsson is/was a good defenceman?

Well, ya. He was a good defensemen. Were you trying to ask if I thought karlsson was good defensively? That’s a different answer. In his prime, he was solid. At his worst, he was miles better defensively than Hughes. Hughes is one of the worst defensive d men that’s ever pulled on an NHL sweater. At 5 on 5 he’s nothing special offensively either.

No, but some people think he’s good. Can’t understand it.

It's from Canuck fans who are just want cap space. I see so many Tampa and Leaf roster which are just 20 man rosters. C'mon guys let's try

I’ve watched him a ton…which is why i bet against vancouver. He’s a third pair powerplay specialist that’s been thrust into a top pair role, which is one of the main reasons why vancouver stinks.

Holy Christ….. third pair? Lol you must be delusional or are just a troll. More than half his points are in even strength.
