Surprisingly, Howard has a little more value due to a semi strong start to the season so far. Maybe if he can be sent to another team for a high priced player that they don't want anymore might be an option. If its me, I'd buy out Ericsson, who has almost no value and even in a trade for another unwanted player might be hard to find. Teams don't need overpriced bottom pairing dmen. There are teams however who need a goalie. They won't give you anything good for that goalie but at least both players get a fresh start and possibly turn it around again.

Vitale is LTIR for the rest of his career. He is unofficially retired.
