I have no idea how much Rob Thomas and Kyrou are going to expect in their next contracts but we got plenty of cap space if this isn't enough. But I'm guessing I'm about to hear from Blues fans about how this isn't nearly enough to get the trade done.

This is how a heart breaks if you’re a Blues fan. Rob Thomas is way too smooth to be included in any Buch trade…something like Dunn Sanford and their first would work IMO

buch is really good but the blues would be hard pressed to move thomas and kyrou for him, might get 1 of them plus but i cant see both of them moved in 1 deal

That Blues offer isn't even remotely serious. You want two cheap untouchables for a guy seeking a hefty raise, and Jones isn't even the right D-man to add. That package doesn't get you either of them alone.

Rangers- Blues trade doesn’t work for either side. Both will say they are giving up too much.

Buch on his own is too much for Thomas or Kyrou, but not enough for both of them. Tried to add value with Jones, but I was kind of lowballing with him. Not sure who to add instead to make it work - Schneider?

Trading Buch for anything other than a center is a non-starter. The only reason to trade him (ok besides his upcoming raise) is to get a 2C.
