Description
This is my best guess as to what Guerin is trying to do. I have no idea what the plan will be for year 3 and 4 of the Parise/ Suter buyouts. I think Billy will cross that bridge when he gets there, but at the moment he has cap space and I'm sure he would love to use it.

Yeah their scouting record isn’t that good… but completely different crew now and the gm says he’s confident

Yup let Eichel walk to Russia and lose him for free instead of getting a boatload of picks and prospects for him while only having to face him 2 times a year

They have Eichel for 5 years. What is Adams supposed to say, i have no confidence and have no idea what they or im doing?

They have no choice.. it’s gone on way too long already and as well as a huge elephant in the locker room, the team has to move on if they want to move forward… such a huge disconnect there I can’t see it working out

It sucks…. But keeping a disgruntled Eichel will do more harm then good

This might get me nominated for Common's preposterous statement tournament, but I don't think there's a single player on the Penguins roster I'd move Fiala for, not sure if I'd even do it for Crosby (he'll be 34 and I'm not sure if hell play more than a few years while Fiala is just entering his prime).

Wow, yeah... I'll nominate you myself wink

Jarry: backup
Kapanen: 3rd line Winger
Peterson: even Pittsburgh doesn't want him. He's also not good

You can trade Kevin fiala for better offer

I dont mean keep him in the locker room i mean send him to Russia for 5 years. Better to lose him for nothing than give him away for nothing

Lol well the good news is the the BUF gm will guaranteed take best deal available and seeing that he IS a top 10 center locked up long term it should be decent

If he were younger then yeah, but at 34 I'd just rather not trade for another aging, even one as good as Crosby. To me the only Fiala trade that makes sense is one where we get a young top line center in return

Ok p, I get it. I do. Let's get/stay younger and faster than 34 yr old players. But, Fiala has had two good half seasons. Crosby is a first ballot Hall of Famer.

In the previous two full seasons, Crosby had 89 and 100 pts. If you take the two Covid years as approximately one season (99 games), he had another 100 points. So..... Yeah. I'd take 3 years of aging Crosby vs. 6 prime years of Fiala. But I hope he proves me wrong.
