This should be the roster as of July 1st 2017 before any free agency signings, if any are made.

Don't get your panties in a twist, the trades are rough estimates. I really didn't put too much though into it.

I'd like Vatanen or Fowler for Tatar, not just Manson. But besides that, everything looks realistic. Seems like Chicago would rather give up one of their young guys than a pick. Would love to somehow get rid of Ericsson AND Kronwall.

Tatar won't land Fowler or Vatanen so I went with the youngest and probably cheapest option. Manson also is a righty which the wings could use. Getting rid of Ericsson is virtually impossible other than through buyout which I already did with Howard. Kronwall isn't so bad. He's always hurt so the Wings get LTIR with him. If a player with a bad contract is hurt most of the time, its not so bad. Its the guys that are always healthy and have bad contracts that are the problems.

Tatar is good but he's having a bad year and is looking for a pay raise on top of that. By default he isn't as valuable as he truly is. Fowler's value is at an all time high and probably so is Manson although he's less experienced.

Detroit fans should be prepared to get less for their prized (available) players then they think.

I've been hoping for that top line all season - unfortunately not going to happen under Blashill and Ken Hollands eye. Those bottom two lines though, ouch. Just may be the two worst lines in the entire league. And as long as we have DeKeyser playing top pair this team is going nowhere.

Yeah didn't focus too much on the lines. I essentially put the important players on the top 2 lines and the ones that I would give away for free if I could on the bottom two lines.

Regarding Dekeyser, if you remove the lack of offense from him, is he not at least a good defensive dman? Capable of playing top pairing minutes and contributing in other facets that aren't directly tied to scoring? I ask because I think Dekeyser might be a player the Habs should target based off where both teams are at. We need a top pairing dman who can play with Weber. Any top pairing guy that many teams want are either not available or would cost a ridiculous amount of value going back. I feel Dekeyser might be the in the middle pick for the Habs. Whats he worth to you?

DDK gets beat often, gets skated around, gets caught way out of position, can't handle the puck, makes poor decisions. His lack of offense is the least of my worries with him. He's the new Ericsson. You don't want him.

Vitale is LTIR for this rest of his career. He's unofficially retired.
