Perry will resign with MTL. Unfortunately for TOR.

So one year of a backup and a 4th liner costs you a good prospect and two players that are better than Crouse? Bad trade.

After being benched, I would have to think Dermott doesn;t have tons of value. Hes a nice 3rd pairing guy, but nothing special (hes not really a puck rusher and not a hitter/crease clearer). Mikheyev doesn;t carry tons of value either, hes a pretty run of the mill bottom 6 guy, so I dont think AMirov gets you both Kuemper and Crouse, especially with retention. Crouse is just alright, but Kuemper and his retention is probably worth that deal alone.

Hamonic like last year, has family issues and wouldn;t move to the east coast.

And the over-the-hill gang of: ryan, simmonds, perry, spezza wont make an 80 game season

Travis Hamonic is open to all options if he hits free agency this summer, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman. That was from June 16th this year
We have Robertson,Brooks and Anderson that can jump in and out of the lineup.
I would disagree that the price on Kuemper would be a top 15 1st rounder, cost controlled young D and middle six winger that is great on the PK.
Lehner went for a 2nd, 5th and Subban at the trade deadline when prices are inflated.
Other team's may offer more but most teams balked at the ask of a first at this years deadline

I wouldn't mind something around Amirov for Kuemper at 50%.

I think that Arizona trade is too much. Trading Amirov for what could potentially be 1 year of a goalie who is always hurt is not work it. Crouse kind of does not even count. He's not good and definitely could not playing on your 3rd line.
