Rielly still makes no sense for NY.

Why? Who on their left side is better. K’Andre is a good 2nd-3rd pair right now.

Might as well get an asset for him as there’s is a logjam on LD & we need to get Liljegren playing.

He's saying from the Red Wings standpoint you can keep him not worth a 2nd to us.

The absolute last thing that NJ should do is give up an asset for Milheyev or Engvall.

You'll be lucky to get a 3rd of 4th round pick for Dermott, And Dougie Hamilton gets closer to 7 x $9,000,000 you wont win the bidding war on Hamilton for anything less then 7 x $8,500,000

But if you want an asset for him, don't come to Detroit. Detroit is not buying any player right now. If your dumping a guy, your sending a pick too. No way Dermott would get a 2nd anyhow.

At least a million short on Hamilton, maybe more. Dermott and Mikheyev aren’t worth a 2 & 4 - more like a 4 & 6

Then I guess keeping assets is more important than improving their league-worst PK

I’m gonna bet someone will pay 10M for Dougie Hamilton so that likely won’t get him

The biggest issue with the PK last year was that there wasn’t much time to build up chemistry between the players that were killing penalties. Sharangovich, McLeod, Bastian, Kulikov, and Murray were all in their first full year with NJ. They were also missing Hischier for most of the season and didn’t have Coleman /Greene so it was a fully revamped PK. I expect it will be much better this year without having to trade for a replacement level guy
