I wonder if the Jets could make a deal to get Zadorov, whether it's from Seattle or Chicago.

As good of additions both Oleksiak and Larsson would've been for the Jets beleaguered backend I really wonder if Chevy even inquired on either of them, doubt it.

Am hearing they're trying to acquire Ristolainen again, will be interesting to see if that happens.

I'll be disappointed to see Appleton go if he's lost to Seattle, would much rather they let them have Copp.

That really sucks, the Jets are so thin at RW now and there's literally no one in the system at that position, no one that's signed anyway.

Thinner at RD than RW, but I agree. I dont want the jets to lose APples. I do think that Chevvy has made calls and will acquire defense. If Seattle is smart theyll continue to sign UFA D, draft Dmen and then trade them to other teams for futures. THat's where the jets can get some much needed help.

Zadorov would be a good D partner for Pionk.

I agree. He's essentially be a better Stanley.
I still don't get all of the hype for Stanley. He's big and physical, but there's a reason he only played sheltered mins. There are so many better guys who may be a few inches shorter

This is chevy we are talking about, we will only be signing depth defencemen and hope for the best.

I guess, after a declining Wheeler who is there at RW?
Suppose Ehlers plays on his offhand but for actual right handed wingers there isn't any other then some drafted guys who aren't signed and might never be signed whereas there's at least some RHD prospects in the system like Kovacevic, Gawanke, Lundmark and Green if he's re-signed(he should be) and Nogier is still around.

I don't want to see Appleton lost, he's cheap for another year and likely wouldn't cost a ton to sign going forward either and he's one of the few guys on this team that'll go to the damn net!

I'm done with boring Copp but they'll likely overpay him to a contract he'll never live up to cause the Jets love boring dull hockey players and I have serious doubts Copp comes close to having a season like the one he just had, really wish he was the guy going to Seattle.

I'd be fine with losing DeMelo, he's okay but I see him as a good 3rd pair dman, I think Poolman is a good 3rd pair dman that can be signed for half of what DeMelo makes.

Acquiring someone from Seattle seems like a possibility, I've read the Jets are looking at Ristolainen again so we'll see what comes of that, maybe Chevy is doing his due diligence as he loves to say.. Lol

I hope you're wrong, but probably not. Like MisstheWhalers said Chevvy has looked into Risto. Im not a huge fan of him and most of my opinion is based on BUF fans who think he's a hybrid of Housley and Numinen or that he's hot garbage. Regardless, he's an upgrade and would look pretty good next to Morrisey.
I just hope the reports of Olesisak arent true and jets manage to sign him

I'd like an Oleksiak signing too but do the Jets really need him, Stanley and Samberg seem pretty similar to him, unless it's cause you think Maurice won't play either of those two therefore an external upgrade/addition is needed which makes sense.. Lol

That was my thought, but I guess the point is moot now that he signed in Seattle.
Do you ever think about what the jets would look like if they were an expansion opposed to a relocation?

No I haven't, what makes me wonder what the Jets would look like is if they'd ever hit on a draft pick outside of the 1st round, not one guy (other then Helly) taken in round 2 or later is anything more then a bottom six forward or 3rd pair dman, if they hit on one or two of those many picks they're probably in a much better situation today, for a team so reliant on the draft and is touted as being so good at drafting it's astounding to me that they haven't found anything more then essentially replacement level forwards and dmen outside of the first round.

What also makes me wonder about this team is how it'd be if the coach would just play some of these kids instead of these past their expiration date retreads he likes so much.

I don't feel like rehashing the past as all the various topics have been discussed enough but I think many of Chevy's bad decisions since 2016 have put them in the situation they're in now, I think this group is a lot further away from contending then most think it is.

It happened a few times last season but they can't all stay on one line as Ehlers has to go on line two to try and get something going on that line, those three are the only true top six talents the Jets have, that talent has to be spread around a bit in the top six.
