Foligno for 2.5Mx1?

Hey if some team wants to throw money at him sure, he'll go elsewhere. He had nagging injuries all last season and put up very low totals (but would be fantastic on a 3rd checking line). Just because the Leafs gave a 1st with all that retention doesn't mean he'll get a huge contract lol.

Hamilton left Calgary because of their media circus: Edmonton's is objectively worse. They could offer him $10M per year and its very likely he still wouldn't come. On that note, Foligno is on the record that he's going back to Columbus. Said it the day he was traded.

To me, Larsson's departure signals to me that the players don't even agree with his moves. "You can't go for it every year", paying out the nose for the husk of Athanasiou, actually giving up assets or a $6M replacement level defender. It's gross asset mismanagement.

You have probably hit the nail on the head. Hey, apparently Barrie still wants to stay...lol. for the record, happy if he does at a good price, but Bear will struggle in the Larsson role unless another Larsson type is brought in somehow, and be run out of town. I can see it now.

The recent Paul Almeida tweet has me reeling:

"If the Oilers sign Barrie to a multi-year deal I can't see Bear here very long".
