  1. Eichel, Jack
Additional Details:
The 2021 1st Rounder is pretty low, very low. So I have to add a 6th rounder from this year too.

Then I send a 1+2 round pick from next year, that should be good value.

Jack Eichel is not worth giving up our future players. He has one season of scoring 30+ goals. He's not a guy that is worth what Buffalo is asking.

It makes me laugh...Eichels not worth this and Eichels not worth that yet everybody wants to trade for him. Future players? Eichel is 24, not in his 30's...it's going to take some future players, he is a 1C.
Eichel wants out and the Sabres want him gone but the reality is they don't have to trade him no matter how much he throws a tantrum.

He is a point per game player...I agree with you there is a balance ever team needs to have when making a trade for him, but to say he isn't worth it is a huge stretch

I honestly think Eichel going public about wanting surgery and the team saying no was the way to create the wedge to get himself traded...I think once traded it will disappear and only brought up by the press. JMO

Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Jake Evans are forwards with great potential that are in the trade.

Romanov and Poehling are defencemen that look to be very good. The Sabres might not need them currently, but in a few years these guys could be amazing for the Sabres.

When you say quality>quantity, I didn't just overload players into the trade. I thought a lot about who to add and the picks especially I thought about.

I think I added really good value in the draft picks, and added really good prospects that have potential.

I think this trade might be more than what Buffalo gets IRL. I don't think GM's would give up this much.

You have to understand any Jack Eichel trade right now is going to be a loss for the Sabres.

Eichel has the potential to be a franchise player, but his career has been wasted in Buffalo.

Now, Eichel wants out. Which is why Buffalo are bringing Eichel into the market. So, Buffalo doesn't have much leverage in the trade proposals. They're the ones shopping Eichel. They won't get the perfect trade they want. They're trying to get rid of Eichel. They won't have much leverage in what they want.

His value is at an all time low right now. Whatever team acquires Eichel is going to win. And Buffalo is going to lose. Buffalo might even get less than what my trade looked like.

Evans is a bottom 6 forward, I like him but his value isnt in the ballpark of Eichel, KK is a Mittelstadt, the Sabres have a Mittelstadt, all of the quality comes from the Dmen and the Sabres dont need them, the Sabres dont need PP QBs when they draft Power and have Dahlin. The Sabres, after drafting Power, will have 9 dmen under the age of 24 that are potential NHLers. If anything they need Veteran Defensive Dmen or 2way dmen

I understand that.

Maybe replace Kk with Suzuki? I don't think Caufield is going anywhere, but I do think the defencemen can have an impact. Power won't come straight into the NHL and Dahlin has struggled.

They're losing their franchise player. It's a pretty big loss.

Unless one of the draft picks turn out insane. The players he's going to get are going to be good players, but not as good as Eichel.

When was the last time a 1C was made available in his prime? It doesn't happen. You have to pay. I will agree that the sabres lose the trade hands down but that doesn't mean they have to take a pile of garbage. JK, RP and JE DO NOT have top 6 written on them, they've had their chance with Montreal and didn't cut it that's why they you are including them as failed dumps. It starts with one of Suzuki/Caufield, 22 1st unprotected and a couple of other decent pieces.
