This would be fine - why 4 years for Suter? That takes him to his age 40 season.

I like this and also believe this will be our off-season.

Agreed with this. Too many years for Suter.

Everything looks good except Sutter’s deal.

Still holding out hope Lou makes a splash but this is a winning lineup that leaves them flexibility at the deadline.

Curious to see if Whally, Bellows, and/or Dobson can take that next step.

Staple really seems to think Bellows is done with NYI. I'd love to trade him for maybe another player in a similar situation (Ryan Poehling? Nic Hague?).

I'm very confident in Wahlstrom. He looked so good last year. I can see him putting up a 25-25-50 season. Dobson I think can take a step forward, but only if he gets a better partner. I liked Greene a lot but he's too old to play the top-4 minutes Dobson deserved. If Suter becomes his partner, I see him taking a massive leap forward.

The problem with Greene-Dobson pairing is that Greene likes to give Dobson suicide passes when he's in trouble which leads to Dobson turning it over in bad spots. Dobson does not need to play with a stay at home guy, he needs to play with a puck mover with decent mobility.

That's why I think Suter is a great fit for him.

my thought process is we give him term to offset price. He will be suited from other teams so isles will need to be competitive

Yeah I get that but we just got out of cap hell, at his age he might only have another 2 years of being an NHL caliber D. At that point I’d rather sign someone like McCabe/kulikov for less $ and term
