Lol leave thats such a shitty offer Ghost has been Scratched for some games now

He was scratched for 3 games dude... How does a benching even factor into it? No good player in the NHL has ever been benched for messing up - I find that hard to believe. And my offer was based off of the MTL media freaking out about: 1. Having to pay him next year / 2. People getting all over him about his struggles after injury and whether or not he is worth keeping. The deal seemed to make sense for both sides. Flyers need a center behind Giroux and MTL has nobody on the blue line except Weber & Petry. plus He's 24 and with Markov getting up there I thought it would be a good replacement. If he is so important why have there been numerous trades on here and talks of trading him for Duchene?

Galchenyuk is worth more then a top4 Dman. Maybe Schenn, ghost for galchy and a 2nd might happen but even then. Couturier might be the player i would prefer.

Thanks for the input. What about Ghost and 2nd for Galchy? Just remove MTL giving up anything pick compensation to make the trade number balance out. I see them getting similar contract in term but Galchy probably cost more money resign.

The reason you see Duchene for Gally posts is because the Habs are supposedly "all in" this year and trading a established and reliable 30 goal scoring centre for a still establishing himself 30 goal scoring centre makes sense in the short term. Duchene is a more complete package - right now.

You're not going to see the Habs, who are weak at centre, trade their number 1/2 centreman for a defenceman. It will gut them at centre. Gutting themselves at centre to sign an offensive defenceman who's been a defensive liability this year . . . just does not make any sense whatsoever. It might be amusing to watch the Habs play 2017-2018 to see how far they can go without winning a faceoff, but I'd just as soon pass.

I thought the young guy Danault was establishing himself as your 2C? That's not longer the case? Haha I did just look at the teams faceoffs and you are right. Not so good. What about Giroux for Galchy?

No way MTL does this. Leaves them with
      Danault
      Plekanec
      Desharnais
      Mitchell
      As their Centers.

In all honesty, Habs need a number one center if Galchenyuk is going the other way. There is no other way around it. So unless you're willing to give us Giroux, no deal can happen. And even then the salary has to work some how for us which it wouldn't so there's that.

Obviously if you over pay for Galchenyuk like Provorov and Simmonds then we'd make that move but I highly doubt you'd do that. right? So yeah we need the top line centre coming back or no deal can be made.

IMO, Galchenyuk has the potential to be a franchise centerman for the Canadiens, I'm 80-90 points and 30-40 goals regularly. IMO there is nothing the Flyers could throw at Montreal to get Galchenyuk.

Didn't think that. I always saw him being the 2C kind of guy so that's why I figured it wouldn't cost as much.

Yeah I get what you're saying and obviously we can't do that just like MTL can't do your young defenseman for Duchene. I mean if you did somehow get Duchene afterwards then you'd be set lol.
