Lol who got the bad end of the trade? Leafs get a 1B goalie and a 2nd and pens get depth down the middle and a good rd... not a bad trade off. Both teams checking off wants

Leafs get the bad end in a big way. Why would they trade Holl who they just protected and Kerfoot someone who they made a trade to protect. For Desmith who is an unproven backup goalie

2.54gaa and .912 s% last year over 20 games and 2.75gaa and .916 s% over 36 games the year before. Pretty good numbers for a kid who once projected to be a starter in the NHL. Roster space for liljegren who is ready for the NHL and cap space for guys who can can do a better job for less...
