Nice ideas on trade and UFA signing of Schwartz.

SEA needs some offense and speed from the blueline though. Oleksiak is porobably a 2LD, MacDermid is probably 7th, but larrson, Oleksiak, Soucy, MacDermid dont offer tons offensively or speed.

As far as the forwards (and this wont be easy), a 1C is really needed and would really solidy those forward lines into something actually good.

Maybe a Gotisbehere or Risto on defense, but the 1C is tricky....Landeskog is the best forward available, say 6 yrs at 9mil? but hes really a LW.

Nice, a cheap option would be MacDermid to PHI for Gotisbehere (he played on RIGHT defense, over 19 mins a night, was on pace for 40+ pts, put on waivers due to roster issues), but he'd be a nice and cheap add with Souycy, and PHI probably would like the toughness

20m in leftover cap is good, but I just dont know where they get a real good 1C in UFA, I dont see one. Gourde is a great addition, but he would be my 2C, McCann 3C and jarnkrot or Geekie as 4C. The best C in UFA is Dandanault, but hes a good two way guy who's upside is probably 2C.

Maybe taking on somebody's cap issue at 1C is a way forward? Johansson from NSH, Hayes from PHI come to mind, but again those guys are probably 2Cs as well....hmmmm

Can't see BOS being into that. LHD is a need, but id rather attach more to Jake in a package for one that isn't 3 years from 40.
