Anything over 1 year is insane.
As much as he deserved more last year- No team can afford to pay for 1yr of outperforming your mutually agreed upon deal.

HOLLAND: The good news is I freed up $7,000,000 by getting rid of Larsson, Khaira, Kahun and Jones.
HOLLAND: The great news is it only cost $8,000,000 to lock up Duncan Keith and Mike Smith for 2 years.
HOLLAND: The best news is it only cost $17,000,000 to lock up Hopkins, Hyman and Barrie for 8 more years.

An old Goalie that I'm just not sure he's going to be good, and he's a backup could have. gotten a lot cheaper and even younger guy.

He certainly did have a great offseason. RNH locked up long term. Fantastic draft. Smith, Ceci, Hyman - all instrumental in the run to the Conference Finals.
