So Carolina will be paying Bernier +/- 3M (I guess that's what he would ask for) instead of paying the same 3M to Ned, who is younger and has potential to improve. Bad job Wadell

Ned has a very small sample size, so giving this contract does carry a risk I don't think CF posters are properly accounting for, but regardless this only being 2 years, and the wings being a bad team make that risk more than reasonable. Well done.

WHY COULDN"T WE PAY HIM THIS MUCH???

If Ned was asking for only a 3 million AAV then I'd pay him that in a heartbeat. If we sign Bernier for more than this (we probably will) then this may be the worst moves we have made in recent history. Good for Detroit, but awful for us Canes.
