Is Brink more desirable? I can't see Farabee or York being in play and with it looking like Eichel is going to be moved I figure that a center would be of interest

Wisdom or Brink and a 1st would have them in the convo

Man, retaining 1.25 on Dadonov basically means that trading for a 9.5MM Voracek :S

Watson is value positive (in his production v his cap hit, not to mention the PK role and his grit™), and a 4th and a 7th would buy a 3rd...

OTT doesn't accept this.

I could see that happening and to a degree I understand why Frost isn't insanely desirable cause of him being 22 and not having NHL experience but to a degree its through no fault of his own and I still seem him being a more valuable/"better" player than both of the players you mentioned

IDK how to evaluate prospects.
Frost was a late first round pick who played really well in Juniors, OK in the AHL but not much to show in the NHL.
IMO this is really close to a fair offer.
Maybe make the 2nd and 3rd a first and Buffalo adds FLA and MTL 3rd round picks.
So essentially a second and 3 thirds for a first.

I personally think Frost and 13th overall is a fair offer but wouldn't work cause of the cap situation Philly is currently in

Thanks for the feedback.
I was not considering the cap only the value of the trade.
This was proposed by a different ACGM: https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/489716?post_id=2553022
Let's consider JVR going to Buffalo, what do you think would be changed to make that happen?

That's funny cause I feel like Frost is the safer bet even though he's a bit older. Sure he hasn't put up the numbers that he did in juniors in the AHL but the skill is there and in his nhl games he's shown he can hold his own at the top of the line up. I see him panning out to be a top 6 forward more like a 2C than anything else with the other two I see brink as a second line wing at most most liekly a middle six guy and Wisdom is harder to read but probably a 3rd liner maybe a flexible top 9 guy

Seeing that it looks like Buffalo's ask is a top prospect and a first for Reinhart I'd say Philly would need to add a pick to get buffalo to eat JVR's cap even though I think JVR has value with how valuable cap space is in the flat cap era I could see a 2nd or 3rd needing to go to buffalo but if Buffalo see is as a replacement of production maybe just adding JVR could get the deal done not really sure

I had the same opinion.
JVR knows how to score goals.
Taking his salary obviously would help the flyers but as you say, it may be a wash.
Let's agree that a 3rd is about the right amount.
Buffalo could retain 50% and IMO a team could be very interested.
I was actually shocked that the Islanders did not consider him when Lee was lost for the season as they play pretty much the same game.

I think 3 years at $7M feels like a lot more than 2 years which is probably why it wasn't considered also having that contract on while trying to sign Pelech and Beauviller would make it much harder to fit everything under the cap

You’d want to have Frost over Wisdom or Brink if those are your three options. Brink had a terrible year at Denver and Wisdom might be able to crack the bottom-six. Frost has the most upside and is the safest of the three.
