Agree to disagree. He's a decent player but with the flat cap 6 x 4 years is too much for him

And you think canucks will give up a first to take him? Please….
Benning has already said teams are interested in taking him and not as a cap dump….

Landeskog isn’t signing a 5yr deal. If Seattle is serious about weaponizing cap space OS Petersson and make the neighbors to the north gate you.

And offer sheet south of 12 million will be matched. Higher than that and the canucks just take the compensation and deal with it…. There’s also no guarantee that Pettersson signs that offer sheet.

Then you turn around and offer sheet Hughes. They went crazy covering EP and all the sudden there is no cap space. BTW I’m just being an advocate for chaos and know they would never do that but it would be fun to watch.

Please do your research, Quinn Hughes is not offer sheet eligible…

I don’t care, I was being flippant. I could care less that Hughes can’t be offer sheeted, I was making a point about weaponizing cap space. Signing UFA’s isn’t weaponizing cap space.

Then what do you mean by flipping back around and offer sheet Hughes? You said it not me. Yes the canucks will be strapped by the cap but in a year we will have a lot of cap to work with.

I was mistaken about Hughes, but I was more talking about Seattle using their cap space as a weapon I just happened to use VAN as an example as a team having multiple RFA’s to force their hand.
