Description
These are all college players that could elect free agency this summer. Some have indicated they are returning to college, some taking 5th year, some transferring, some will sign with another team.

If I am forgetting anyone, mention in comments.

Which one could Flames use the most? Does anybody here have top 6 potential right handed?

Nick abruzze won’t be a free agent if unsigned til 2023
Greenway will though I wonder if the leafs sign him

Perbix is a lightning draft pick and Id say if his development went well he could be top 6. However hes already 23 and hasnt signed his ELC

The forward group is pretty thin.
Smith is probably the best of the lot. He and Räsänen are only righties worth looking at.
Add in Abruzzese...and thats it for NHL potential. McDonough maybe. Rest are longshots.

The defensemen are a little more interesting.
Perbix would be my top guy. Attard is more offensive RD. Hellickson could be bottom-pair defensive type.

Most interesting name - and most likely NHLer - among this group is probably Petruzzelli, who has said he won't be signing in Detroit

He could elect free agency this summer, but has said he is going back to Harvard

He is going back for another year, so Lightning can probably wait until April.
I think he will be a good one.
(They should trade him to NJ)

Maybe...but no Adam Fox here.
Only real worthwhile names to sign this summer with NHL teams (that didn't draft them) are Petruzzelli (G, DET), Hellickson (LD, NJD) and Greenway (LD, TOR)
My bet is a team trades a late pickmfor Petruzzelli's rights at draft. Legit goalie prospect.
