BIG no from MN, his brother is all but set to sign here also. Marcus is also going to be one of our assistant captains.

Why isn’t Folingo the captain he’d make more sense then Jared Spurgeon?

What' the fascination with UFA Foligno?. Certainly not worth that contract. Leafs need Kerfoot, depending on Engvall or Brooks as the 3rd and 4th centres...that's iffy

I’m pretty sure it will be Engvall Brooks with kerfoot on the wing in the top 6. But you still have him if needed to jump into 3c

What is his value out of interest. I know he's a solid defensive forward, good on the boards, low event. I honestly couldn't tell you his trade value tho. If you were theoretically to trade him to Toronto what would he be worth? I was thinking just a bit more than Kerfoot but seems I'm off there. Is it as much as Nylander?

I don’t think he’s on the wild’s trade block in general

Leafs are hoping that Brooks/Engvall and Semyonov can nail down two starting centre spots. But you're right the Leafs need Kerfoot "just in case" And if Tavares or Matthews gets injured, I rather have Kerfoot play the bigger minutes at 2C

So the problem is that it would require a gross overpay to get him. His theoretical value isn’t really all that high. But given his leadership role in MN, what he brings, etc., it would be more than you (or any team) would ever rationally pay. Honestly, probably would take a blue chipper like Amirov to get the convo going. One of those tricky players where the intangibles dominate his trade value.
