What on earth has Hakanpää done to deserve that contract or that roster spot? He's a 3rd pairing / 7th defenseman on a playoff team.

The pens still aren’t paying for your cap dumps. The point of this site is to be realistic. So the pens counter with McDavid for Matheson and Zucker

His overpays have always been for veteran players, usually with playoff pedigree, no? Hakanpää is neither, so yes I'd be shocked if he handed out this contract to an unproven commodity.

Yes they are both 1 in the same. Expecting the pens to pay for Edmonton’s cap dumps is just as bad as the pens expecting the Oilers to pay for it the pens cap dumps. I’m glad you understood the context. 👍
