It’s a fair deal but Toronto doesn’t have any interest in moving nylander.

Konecny would be a great add but I don’t see Philly being interested in futures for him.

i THINK ULTIMATELY ITS TWO PLAYERS OF DIFFERENT skill sets, both of which bring a style the other team could use/would like. TK is grittier, nylander has the higher ceiling. The other key for TOR is the almost 1.5mil in cap savings. Essentially its replacing one top 6 forward for another, with the cap savings and good 1st rounder for TOR. Essentially its adding three players for one, two of which (TK and the 1st) should be high calibre.

Philly doesn;t move a young top 6 forward for futures, as last year was the anomaly for them and they should be right back to contender status

For the Bos deal, retain 2 million, sub out the no name prospect for a 2nd or a 3rd. Or a D prospect.

Like I said it’s a good deal. The leafs may be looking to add that grittier top 6 player but they aren’t looking to remove any skill.

Really if I wanted to remove anyone from this team it’s marner. It’s probably not rational but I’m still pissed off at him. He’s just got one of those faces you’d love to punch.

Moving him is as realistic as nylander but I would be less inclined to ****.

As a leafs fan I would do it only if the first was this year's. We don't have the timeline for next year's first to develop.

Yeah, strange that its skipped a year in the draft picks....it would be 2021 1st, 13th/14th overall

Than I would say it's definitely a win for both sides,

IF Toronto wants to move one of their top guys I can see that trade happening, in fact it's a great idea for both sides I think (I'm an unbiased Montreal fan). Philadelphia core is aging quick and none of their prospect screams "Game changer top 6" at this moment, they sacrifice a (Hopefully) back end first round pick for a pure goal scorer. On the other side you've got Toronto clearing some much needed cap space and they get a great top 6 player locked in for 4 years.
