Essentially we traded Kapanen + 7th for Amirov + Kerfoot (kept him) Id make that move any day of the week.

Holl is a 4/5 RHD who makes $2mil. A guy who can play top 4 minutes for that cheap and do what he does are a hell of lot harder to find than a 3C.

I don't think Minny makes that deal, they have multiple third line centres, they need a top line guy.
You could probably restructure the Detroit deal and have Kerfoot go there, he doesn't bring any positive value to the trade though.
Maybe something like Bertuzzi, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and Svechnikov for nylander, Engvall and Kerfoot

Top 4 defenceman for $2M don't grow on trees.... He got McCann for hallander and a seventh. He made sure he had a 3C for his team or top 6 winger depending where they slot them. It was likely cheaper than making a deal with Seattle as I heard their asking price was ridiculous.
