The hope is that Robertson has an amazing training camp and develops chemistry with Matthews and Marner. However, if this doesn't happen, you put Robertson on the third line and try any of the third line forwards on the top line. Eventually, someone will have some chemistry. This is similar to how Pittsburgh does it as well.
