I hate to say it but Buffalo robbed Philly.

This would have been a great trade if it was Hagg, a 2nd, and a B level prospect... can't believe Chucky included the 1st... ugh

1st and Hagg would have been more than enough for him.

I don't have words. Hägg for RR 1:1 might still be a win for Buffalo because they get bad player and salary off the books. But this? Good lord. The Flyera strike again!

Unless Fletcher knows something we don't, this does not look good for Philly. But in all fairness, they're in a win now mode and this helps that. But dang...

Every time I say a trade is bad for one team, I end up being wrong lol

But right now, this looks like a terrible trade for the Flyers. Keep in mind Risto is a rental AND they're paying him over 5M this year.

Edit: Both of them are rentals. Philly is taking an extra 3.8M or so.

This is I swear one of the dumbest deals I've seen that doesn't involve Buffalo, Edmonton, or Pittsburgh being the Stupid one.

Someone actually voted Philadelphia Flyers-

Incredible but the lopsided vote is even more. I don't think we've had a gap like that in any trade since CapFriendly was created 6 years ago

If the Flyers miss the playoffs next season, they're gonna need to blow this thing up. Overpaid UFA'S and spending draft picks like they're Cup contenders. Crazy.

THANK YOU PHILLY. YOU SAVED MY JETS FROM MAKING THIS DEAL. All honesty though...what is Philly thinking here?! Beyond lopsided, good for the Sabres.

Fletcher’s IQ is room temperature, and in celsius, and on the top part of Canada, and in the middle of winter. You get the point.

Give Kevyn Adams the GM of the Year award for this. Ristolainen is a replacement level defenseman and they just netted a mid-first and a likely mid-second for him. Hagg is pretty mediocre but he has a fifth of the cap hit for the same quality.

Chuck Fletcher looks like an absolute clown on this one, especially giving up so much to get rid of Gotisbehere.

Great deal by the * double checks * uhm- * triple checks * BUFFALO SABRES?

Philadelphia traded 2022 2nd Round Pick, 2022 7th Round Pick, Shayne Gostisbehere, Robert Hagg, 2021 First Round Pick (13th Overall), 2023 2nd Round Pick for Rasmus Ristolainen who is an obvious downgrade from Shayne Gostisbehere, and giving up a solid future in Robert Hagg. Not only that, but Rasmus costs more, and plays worse. Risto is also a rental contract. Looks like good ole chuck trying to find his own way out the door and flick the big ole middle finger up at everyone before he does go out on a dumpster fire.

Yea, wow this gives me way more confidence about the Eichel trade, even if Risto turns into what I wanted him to be this package is worth more than that! Veteran experience behind Dahlin is huge.

Montreal was also in the running. Thank you Flyers. Now somehow has to save us from Eichel before we give up Caufield or Suzuki (or even Kotkaniemi)

This is worse than yesterday's Carolina blunder.

You’re underselling it… this trade is worse than hall for Larsson. This just might be the worst trade the nhl has ever seen.

Great on the buffalo sabres. Adams did what he could to try and make them better last season but it didn’t pan out. Maybe he is a good gm.
