I think Bergevin is gonna sign him no matter what... he is playing a poker game.

Danault will go to the FA market get a lot of similar offers 4.8, 5, 5.5 and maybe 6. Then Mb is gonna go - 8 years for (while most offer will be 4-5 years) at a lower cap like 4.8. He will make more in the long run in MTL

He already put his house up for sale. I think he’s gone and there’s nothing you can do about it

I think it has to do with role and not money. I hope you are right but I mean I guess we will see soon

That's the thing... he said that he accepted the role... also... he will be playing with Gally and Toffoli next season... I'm sure he will be getting plenty of offense.... and the teams signing Danault have the same role in mind.

I don't think so... if you watch his interaction with the team and the management... hell he was hugging MB. The pizza after a win... the guy looked happy.

House on sale could be about the HUGE HOUSING BUBBLE in montreal... he'll probably get 2M for a 1M house. The guy has already a two houses, one by a lake and one close to MTL

True about the housing bubble. Brother is a realtor there. Its insane especially in the South Shore rn.

Still, the pizza thing and hugging is inconsequential. He's made enough of a show that he wants a bigger role and respect as a top6 center elsewhere. Bergevin protecting Armia and not Danault in expansion was a BIG tell

Meh... the expansion draft was all a smoke show... he exposed Drouin, Weber, Price and Danault...
