this is all still really confusing to me

columbus packaged jones with a 1st and a 6th? was $9.5M and eight years the minimum AAV and term that SJ was asking for or something?????

he's a UFA at the end of the NEXT season, you could've had him for a trial run of one season just to see how he performs on a new team

This is a tough one to take. I actually understand the swap of 1sts. I also understand getting one of the Hawks D prospects. Additionally, I've said puck moving Dmen are FAR easier to find than 2-way dmen...so Boqvist I could live with. It's the 2022 1st AND that $9.5M contract that's rough. Man

Nobody has ever said he isn't an NHL dman. What he isn't is a top-pairing guy, he's like a #4 who's good at PK.
