He has a lot of offensive upside. If he can learn to play defense he'll be a solid 2nd pair defenseman

I get that this is an unpopular vote, but CAR won this. CAR's been proposing him in trades for years now. Bergevin said he won't ever be top 4...Bowman passed when CAR offered him for Lehner, heck Francis just passed on him for FREE. He's an AHL dominant player. That's it.

Bean never really seemed to fit in Carolina, atrocious in his own end but can probably quarterback a powerplay. I wasn't seeing that many flashes of the first round potential when he played and he seemed to lose RBA's trust in the playoffs. Would have liked to have gotten a bit more for him but this deal seems fair.

That doesn't mean I like it. Who's going to play powerplay D next year? Pesce? They'd better bring back Hamilton.

Sucks we traded Bean, but at least we got a 2nd for him. Now we have like no defense though. No one is ever here to stay thanks to Waddell and Dundon.

Sorry, I'm so used to people knowing what this means without explaining it.

He's a run of the mill bottom pairing defenseman with a little above average offense and GARBAGE defense.
