Van is not interested in trading Quinn, especially for futures .... They have made moves to win now & see QH as a big part of that. Saying that, potentially getting the top pick in 22 could net you a generational talent, but Im sure the Van would squeeze NJ for more, just for the sake of getting the last Hughes brother.

Additionally, NJ doesn't need another offensive Blueliner at the moment & that 22 first has tremendous value, given the depth of talent next year. If you ignore the name recognition, its not a good trade for NJ.

Well that trade is pile of crap for VAN.

Q.Hughes will cost you easily Ty Smith, Jesper Bratt and 2022 1st, and you probably have to keep adding.

That's crazy, but they should ask for it, sure. NJ would have to overpay, but that package is way too much for what Quinn does. Ty Smith alone is an adequate replacement, one of the other two items is more than enough & a win for the Canucks.

NJ will still be lottery next season & 22 draft is stacked.

To be fair short term it was a reasonable move. There's no question VAN got better as a team after that. People seem to forget that Garland was an absolute beast last year.

It's really not. Hughes is a top D in that team and one of the top offensive D in the league. He won't be moving for anything short than a premium package.

I agree with that ... Van is not trading Hughes.... and NJ should not trade those assets. Call it a standoff.

Luke Hughes will not be ready for NHL for 2-4 years anyway. Two years is rushing him. I understand NJ fans are excited, but they shouldn't sell the ranch now, makes no sense.
