I feel bad. That trade and that contract are brutal

More detailed post coming later of why the trade sucks, but I don’t expect anyone to click on it. The defense only looks better because of the supplemental moves I provided here. As of now the only NHL level D we have on the left side are Zadorov (3rd pairing) and De Hann (2nd-3rd pairing) and a bunch of guys who are fringe NHLers.

For better or worse Stan really likes Stillman. I thought Kalynuk was good too. With that contract he just gave Seth...he's going to need cheap contracts on the left. In all sincerity, we do have a ton of LD prospects. Kalynuk, Stillman, Jones, Beaudin, Vlasic.

It’s nice to have prospects, but my problem is that they don’t project to be impact players in most cases and even if they do it’s when we are well into the Jones contract.

Curious what your thought process was for signing Rittich for $3MM? Do you think he could get that much on the open market?

I mean we the only ones who are good at signing European players and having them turn out really well
