There’s too many questions about this team as to if they can make the playoffs even. It’s going to be a long nine years and we can expect to be giving CBJ another top 15 pick in next years draft.

I think we could make the playoffs next year. I don't like the jones move one bit, but I think it's a fair argument to make that we could be better than one team out of: Colorado, WPG, Minnesota, St. Louis, Dallas. We're clearly better than Arizona and nashville, and in my opinion anyone in the pacific outside of vegas and maybe calgary. The west is Colorado and Vegas at the top, then a tier with like minnesota, the jets, st. louis. Then probably us, dallas, calgary in the next tier. Just saying i'm not giving up on us making the playoffs. The jones deal was bad but hawks fans need to settle down a bit. Don't give up before anything has even started

I agree. Don't care for the trade because of what we lost, but Jones is the best Dman on this team. They are better defensively.

On paper they're better defensively, but it's Colliton's system that worries me. Jones could be great but with this system, who knows. The good thing is that if they don't improve defensively after these moves, Colliton should be gone.
