Sorry Wings took a defenseman with one of two 1sts, and the cupboard for team is well stocked with blue line prospects. Also not taking 32 year old 7 million dollar contract for two years. Wings now need center and scoring wingers so package not enticing.

The flyers don't need a goalie. Carter Hart is still developing, but Holtby is just a waste of resources.

You gave up a 1st and a 2nd for Risto, why on earth would St. Louis give up Tarasenko for less AND retain lmao.

Same reason that Jake Bean went for a 2nd, Arviddson went for a 2nd and 3rd, Reinhart went for a mid tier G prospect and picks, Nedeljkovic went for peanuts, etc etc etc

Jake Bean has one year under his belt, Reinhart isn't finalized so we don't know what he got, Arvidsson had even worse year than Tarasenko, Ned...well that's because Waddel is an idiot. Doesn't mean every other GM is.

The Reinhart trade was never even announced yet. Tarasenko is a far higher tier than every player you named.

It was semi-announced last night, at least the ground work. It ended up being a mid tier goalie and a 2022 first. Florida fleeced them and it's not even close. Tarasenko is coming off 2 serious injuries, and as he made his name as a sniper with an absolutely ridiculous shot, it's a huuuuuge risk. A risk I'd be absolutely willing to take, but this isn't 2018-19 Senko anymore, he's missed 91 games the last two years alone.
