I kind of like the move for the Jackets honestly. Lefit top 6 winger. Offensive upgrade. Long term he is a movable asset that with a little salary retention nets a bigger return than Atkinson would have.

Given that fantastic return Jarmo got for Jones (Boquist, Bean and a 1st!), I would have faith in this guy. One of the best GMs in the game.

Hell. Yes. I’ve been saying they need to trade Cam for years. This is a good move. Cam is likeable to a lot of fans, but he is terribly inconsistent and I have always felt that most of his goals come from luck rather than skill. He seems to have no skill finishes. Voracek is a massive offensive upgrade.

Cam is super streaky. If he’s on he’s honestly a top goal scorer. When he’s off he’s an offensive black hole. Shoots it in bad locations and gives easy saves. In other words I agree. Philly lost this trade only due to his streaky ness.

He’s never been a top goal scorer IMO because he doesn’t consistently score. His speed gets him some grease goals but he has no finish. Also small physically and doesn’t do a good job retaining possession.

When I say top goal scorer I’m talking about on his random 2 week heaters where he does have good placement and shoots the puck at the right time. He scores 3-6 goals a week in those stretches. The rest I agree with.

Just to sum up my point. When he’s on fire he’s really really good. When he’s not, he’s terrible on offense.
