Yzerman is intrested in pettersson, Risto got a 1st and a 2nd, we've been undervaluing pettersson the whole time, pettersson is 24, DET doesn't have any future on the LD, Leddy is most likely getting traded at the deadline since he was a placeholder, and they could use a young defenseman that can grow there for a while.

yzerman WAS interested in petterson as a cap dump prior to trading for Leddy and Drafting Evdnisson. Risotlanian was traded for a 1st but he is also only signed for 1 year and some scouts think he would be a good in the right situation. Detroit has enough talent on LD to pass on pettersson with Albert Johansson, Edvninsson, McIssac and others.

Yeah and no one offered St Louis more than a third for Dunn and he wasn't making 4 x 4. No deal. Oh and he's 25.

also the Fleury trade doesnt make sense either, If they wanted to essentially pay 7 million towards back up goalie (3.5 for jarry and 3.5 retained) they could just keep Fleury who is much better.
