Seattle wouldn't take him for literally nothing. what's his value really at?

It's not that they didn't want him look who they got instead a cost controlled contract for a player who is guaranteed a Top 4 and is very active. This is worth more because you have extra cap space to take cap dumps for my draft capital which as you know they are now building a roster so guess what draft picks are worth more.

(sigh)

First of all, Seattle was doing an expansion draft, not trading. Secondly, he was only left exposed in an attempt to protect Dunn. Thing the third, erm, did you see some of the dregs Francis picked in an effort to spend as little money as possible?

Dude, you have not even offered enough value here for anyone to take Kassian the human dump. The Blues are not taking that garbage contract, and they will be expecting a proper payment for their now-healthy star sniper, who apparently has suitors all over the place since his medical report got out.

Can't find the medical report. Do you have the source?

btw: I know a lot of Oilers Fans (probably I included) overvalue Kassian, but you certainly undervalue him. A proper trade would look something like Kassian for future considerations, or MAYBE the Oilers have to add a late-round pick at worst. There are teams in the league who apparently like what he can bring (The Blues are not one of that teams, because you have a few players like him, just better players), and thats why, as an Oilers fan, you could hope that he brings you back a pick or something.

1- Not sure if you have the Athletic, but here ya go.

2- He's a 30 yo still on a 3x3.2 who has only provided any value when a passenger with McD or Drai. Otherwise, he's basically useless. And no team that isn't swimming in free cap space will want anything to do with him. He has negative value like any other true cap dump.

Thanks!

Apparently there are teams, who have at least a bit interest.
A true cap dump for me is a player who can't get in a NHL lineup (and I think Kassian is still capable of that). But like I said, with his contract, for me he has zero value (neither negative nor positive and if any, then slightly negative). But I guess, we'll never find a common ground on this, so let's just say: The Blues are never gonna take Kassian, because for them Kassian has truely a negative value!
