Apparently
1. Toews is completely healthy and won’t relapse with symptoms from his disease… he’s also coming back and being 2010-2015 Toews.

2. Every single young guy we have is going to take a huge leap next season and give us the depth required to become a contender. To be clear I am referencing (Dach, Borgstrom, Nylander, Kurashev,Hagel, Mitchell, Stillman, and any other young guy I missed)

3. All of the Vets are either going to take a humongous step forward or continue to play at a high level they have maintained. (First group of step forward includes De Hann, Strome, Connolly, Zadorov, Carpenter, and most importantly Jones) The second group includes (Murphy, Kane, Debrincat Kubalik, and maybe Toews)

4. No one is going to get hurt, but if someone did get hurt we have kid wonder Lukas Reichel coming in to replace that player and outperform them.

5. Lankinen and/or whoever we get to supplement him stays healthy and consistent enough for us to make the playoffs and reaches a previously unseen level when we get there.

6. JC reaches a new level of coaching that we have previously not seen I guess?

These are all of the things that have to go right to give us a chance of making the playoffs next year. If all of these things did go correctly we might lose to colorodo or Vegas in 5 games! These are all the things that Stan Bowman is assuming will happen. As a fan of this team, next year is probably gonna suck!
