Wondering abt Eichel

Created by: YTSnipeCity
Team: 2021-22 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 24, 2021
Published: Jul. 24, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
EXPLANATIONS:
Eichel: Could easily be two 1sts instead of a first, second and third. In terms of the players I'm giving up, Romanov, who we know is an established dman and has the very well potential to be a top 4 defensemen, maybe even top 2 (especially in Buffalo, where he'd be playing more). Along with this, there's Jordan Harris, someone who the Habs are really high on and could easily be in the league by next year. Poehling also still has insane potential and I just don't see him playing in Mtl in a substantial role. With Reinhart (and now Eichel) gone, Poehling would for sure get the ice time he needs to develop. Could become a 3rd/2nd liner if he plays up to his potential. Just breaking it down using potentials I feel like each player is this is how the trade would be
TO MTL:
Jack Eichel: 1st Liner, Franchise potential
TO BUF:
Alex Romanov: Top Pairing/3rd dman
Jordan Harris: 4th/5th dman
Ryan Poehling: Low 2nd liner, high 3rd
1st rounder (mid, high 20's)
2nd (Late 2nd)
3rd (Early 3rd)
Or it would be two 1sts, which both im guessing are late in the round
Let me know what you think!

IMO there is no deal to be done if Suzuki or Caufield aren't coming back

At first Eichel rn doesn't worth Suzuki and assets, secondly the habs are not traiding him. Btw his offer included Romanov, which is an excellent young D. With that Reinhart deal, I belive that the bar for the Eichel trade will be much lower that sabres fans wanted

KK makes the most sense as the centerpiece. Suzuki and Caufield are clearly untouchable even in an Eichel deal. Sabres have zero need for Romanov (or any LD). Probably talking KK, Poehling, Primeau, 2022 1st at a minimum. Maybe another 1st since they're in-division or at least some B prospect no one really cares about to make the deal look bigger.

If Sabres won't do it without Suzuki or Caufield, Montreal rightly walks away.

Reinhart deal doesn't impact Eichel deal whatsoever. Sabres have all the leverage on Eichel. No value, no trade. 5 years is a long time to be trapped in Buffalo so NMC is way overblown even when it goes into effect. With Reinhart they had none (and were stupid to move him now instead of TDL).

Defense wins championships. those guys have insane value and could easily be used on the Buffalo roster in the near future.

Sabres have d prospects, literally just took Power, they need forwards, especially when trading their franchise center

KK is going to be a #1 centre, along with Poehling who could be a number 2 is he's developed properly. I don't see what ur getting at. 2 potential top 6 centres, along with a potential top 4 dman, which you could never get enough of, plus a first rounder in a stacked 2022 draft

KK is a middle 6 center and Poehling is a depth center who had a great 1st game. The Sabres top 4 within a couple years will be Power - Dahlin Samuelsson - Jokiharju, its pretty set

I'd stop while u are ahead, you are making WAY to much sense. The Habs can get in the same boat as the Rangers, kings, wild and ducks. Jack Eichel is a great talent but not worth sacrificing your best assets for. If he was he woulda already been dealt about 2 months ago and he be wearing a kings or rangers sweater

Thank god somebody understand me xD , he's good, but he's not that guy. I just jope that Sabres fan realize it before they gets dissapointed when he will get traded. (I still don't understand how the fck Ristolainen gets better things that traiding Reinhart to a team in the same division)

The only team in that group that can afford to lost their best prospect is the Wild, but even that i'm sure they're no way they're gonna trade Rossi and rn their priority is to keep Kaprisov.

The fact that he wants to get the fck out of this and injuries doesn't help at all his value

The habs can make a deal without including Suzuki, Romanov or Caufield, keep that in mind sabres fans.

They can make an offer, but it wont be of interest, this is what I am saying. I dont think MTL has a realistic shot
